Rustic Halloween Banner

October 27, 2016 By meredith Leave a Comment

I was provided supplies from The Ribbon Retreat, a company I adore, for use on this project.  All opinions are, as always, 100% my own.

Halloween is just around the corner {or weekend}, and I’ve got a super simple and easy to make banner project for all of you today with the help of my favorite ribbon resource, The Ribbon Retreat!  I love the look of different materials and textures combined together to make a rustic banner.  I do this with almost any holiday with banners and other ribbon projects for around my house.  This banner would be great as a photo prop background, to hang over your mantel, or in my case, along a picture frame ledge.

All the supplies you need can be found at The Ribbon Retreat, of course!

I stuck to black, white, and orange for my colors and went with a variety of materials, widths, and lengths {once cut} on my ribbons.  Texture is key to make it look rustic!

This banner could not have been more easy to assemble.  I cut each type of ribbon, lace, or tulle to about 10 inches in length, tied them on to a scrap piece of jute twine sporadically, and ended up with this sweet, simple beauty.

I love it so much, I may swap out the black pieces after halloween for some deep olives, tans, and burgundy for a “fall” feel.  It literally took about 10 minutes start to finish, and I put the whole thing together while talking to my kids eating their breakfast.

Happy Halloween everyone!
