Easy 5 Minute Pen Tins

March 31, 2014 By meredith 10 Comments

Before you read any further, head to Target and check out their Dollar Spot.  They’ve got super cute tin buckets right now that are perfect for storing writing supplies {pens, pencils, markers, etc…}.  There are tons of colors and sizes and some come with or without handles.  Once you’ve found the tins you love, you’re all ready to make this easy 5 minute craft.

All you’ll need are:

a couple of cute tins

vinyl chalkboard labels

chalk marker

markers and pens to fill up your tins

I already had everything I needed for this project except the tins.  You could totally use a cutting machine such as the Cricut Exlore to cut your own cute chalkboard labels, but I already had these ones and have been trying the “use what I’ve got” method of crafting.

All you have to do is stick the labels on where you’d like them on the tins…

Then use the chalk marker to label them.  LOVE chalk markers!  I use them for my weekly photos of Henry as well.  They write beautifully and don’t erase or rub off without a damp paper towel.

Once they were labeled, I added my pens and markers and set them out on the desk in my office!

I simply love them, and the fact that I can just erase and re-write a new label if I need to is totally awesome in my opinion!

Yes! It does stay on…to get the chalk off, you just need a damp cloth!
