Christmas Ribbon Trees

November 12, 2014 By meredith Leave a Comment

I’ve got the perfect, sit-in-front-of-the-TV-and-drink-hot-cocoa kind of Christmas craft for you today!

And the best part?  You can customize them to fit your Christmas color decorating needs!

To make your own Ribbon Trees, you’ll need:

paper mache cone forms {various sizes}
3 spools of ribbon
hot glue and glue gun
scissors

To get started, you’ll want to cut a ton of 3 inch pieces of ribbon.

When gluing on the ribbon, start at the bottom of each cone, glue one side directly to the cone form, loop the ribbon up {make sure the pretty side is facing out}, and then glue the loop closed.

Overlap each layer just slightly, so there aren’t any gaps!
Soon you’ll have some beautiful and handmade ribbon trees, perfect for any holiday mantel.

What are you looking forward to crafting and creating this Christmas?
Also, what are your “Christmas colors”?  I’ve been slowly collecting all things red, white, and silver for about 5 years now!
