Halloween Treat Bucket

September 16, 2014 By meredith 6 Comments

I was provided free product from Expressions Vinyl to complete this challenge.  All opinions are 100% my own.

Halloween is one of my most favorite holidays to celebrate each year, especially now that we’ve got kids.  I mean, how fun is it to dress up and walk around your neighborhood with your little ones?  I’ve already started getting our family costumes together for Halloween this year and can’t wait to share them with all of you soon.  Until then, here’s a fun idea for holding all that candy you’ll be passing out this year or for your kiddos to use as a trick-or-treat bucket.

To make a treat bucket for your Halloween candy, you’ll need:

black metal bucket {Hobby Lobby}

orange and black ribbons

Cricut Explore

Expressions Vinyl Halloween Pack

I decided that I wanted to use the white vinyl from the Halloween Pack.  If you decide to order one, you’ll be getting some awesome colors, including Black, Signal Yellow, Orange, White, Purple and Lime Tree Green.  To make my treat bucket I selected a fun skeleton face in Cricut Design Space.

I cut it on the white vinyl and applied it to the bucket as four separate stickers instead of using transfer tape.  For larger projects and also projects using words and phrases, I highly recommend transfer tape.  It’s awesome!

Once the face was in place, I added a few ribbons to either side of the handle and a big bag of fun sized M&M’s.

I’m guessing the M&M’s will not last until Halloween!
