In need of a quick, inexpensive birthday party favor?  I’ve got the perfect one, especially for summer birthdays!

Head to the dollar store or the dollar spot at Target and grab those cheap bubble wands!  I bet lots of stores are starting to put their bubbles on sale as well, since back to school stuff is already popping on the shelves!

As you can see, I dressed my bubble wands up with an easy to assemble monster tag using my Cricut Explore™, but you could easily modify the tag to fit any theme you need!  To make the monster tags, you’ll need:

cardstock in various colors, including kraft paper cardstock

googly eyes

glue stick & white school glue

twine

Cricut Explore™

In Cricut Design Space™, I did an image search for monsters and chose the two that I liked best Morp from the image set Bump In the Night and Icky from the image set Mini Monsters.

I didn’t necessarily use all parts that went with each monster, but I love how they turned out.  To stick everything together, I used a glue stick, and to attach the googly eyes, I used white school glue.

I also used Cricut Design Space™ to find a pretty tag that I liked.  I ended up going with one called tag from the image set Cricut Classic Font.  I cut this on my kraft paper cardstock.

I love how it even had a pre-cut hole at the top to insert my twine!  Once all the tags were assembled, I simply tied them to the top of each bubble wand and popped them all in a large white bucket.  I made a quick sign letting every party guest know to take one, and we were all set!

I 100% recommend investing in a monthly or yearly subscription to the Cricut Image Library, especially if you are a proud Cricut owner.  It’s $9.99 per month or $99.99 for the year, giving you access to 25,000+ Cricut Images and 200 fonts!
