Every year I absolutely love making and sending out a photo card for Christmas. I also love receiving the many different kinds of Christmas cards from our closest friends and family. So we can enjoy them throughout the Christmas season, I like to display them on the garland down one flight of our stairs using some decorated clothespins.
Once Christmas is over though, what to do with all of those beautiful cards? I’ve got the perfect {and a super easy} solution for all of you.
Grab a large binder clip, some leftover Christmas ribbon, a hole punch and scrapbook paper to make a Christmas Card Book.
Simply gather all of your Christmas cards from the year, punch a hole at the top, and secure them all together with the binder clip.
Make a cover using Christmas scrapbook paper and stickers to remember the year and maybe any big events or milestones that occurred. In 2011, I simply typed something on the computer and printed it out so it looked nice and neat.
Now each year, we can pull out the cards from year’s past to look through. It is so much fun to see how families have changed over the years too! We have ours out from last year now, and you can be sure I’ll be making another one for 2012 as well.
How do you keep your old Christmas cards? I’d love to hear your ideas!
Merry Christmas!
